Megan by Zoya + My first Birchbox

Happy weekend, everyone! I got my first Birchbox in the mail this week and was sooo happy to receive some pretty pastel Zoya polish! Here’s some of the other goodies I received including concealer, Juicy perfume and some eye serum.

This is Megan by Zoya and it’s a really nice grayish purple but it was a little bit tough to apply. Very quick. Hoping it stays on strong because I’ve got meetings in New York later this week and I need pretty nails!

My Private Jet by OPI

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had wonderful, restful holiday breaks and are ready for a spectacular year ahead! Or as Kim Kardashian tweeted, “The Best 2012 EVER!”

I just put on “My Private Jet” by OPI, a taupe-y gray with copper and silver flecks of glitter. It was a gift from one of the lovely young ladies I work with and I just LOVE IT! Went on very smoothly but dried fast. It’s a great dark winter shade with just enough pizazz to it. Would have been perfect for New Year’s too!

Happy New Year! So I got my first gel manicure this weekend. It’s Marilyn Merlot by LeChat and I am absolutely obsessed.

How do you guys feel about the gel manicure?! Anyone ever gotten one (I’m assuming as I have learned I may be the only person that hasn’t!) Also, what nails did you rock NYE?!

5 Day Verdict // Wallis by Butter London

Sorry we’re a bit late in posting this guys but Wallis held up famously. She was truly a dream to wear and we’re looking forward to featuring her again for Thanksgiving! Seriously polishheads, go get yourself a bottle of Butter London. Preferably Wallis. Just saying.

OPI - Warm & Fozzie

Wakka Wakka. We’ve been dreaming of this Muppets collection ever since it was announced a few months ago, so when I saw in Ulta I knew I had to have it. This polish is so awesome it doesn’t even seem real.

OPI really killed it with Warm & Fozzie. The glitter is so delicate and has flecks of yellow, green, orange and brown all over. With two coats it was perfect but I added another coat to hide the nail completely (if you like some of the nail to show, two coats is perfect).

It’s really a great dark gold hue overall. We plan on breaking this out again around the holidays. Come to think of it — this may be the perfect Thanksgiving color. Fozzie would definitely approve.

boston lacquer purchased this at Ulta for $8. You can get it too (but go quick — we hear they’re selling out fast!!).
